It was an unbelievable week, full of work and less sleep. But we’re happy though, because: CIRCUS is being printed! And we have to admit, there wasn’t much time left for reading blogs this week – but of course there are a few links we found for you. (more…)

Yet another busy week in the office, with the last round of sales calls completed, the first adverts designed and a new website launched. But never fear, we’ve still made time to track down our links of the week.

It was an exciting week: we had so many meetings. We talked about marketing, discussed sales and considered the future of CIRCUS. And we agreed on the topic of the next issue. Weight loss. Print magazines and the blogosphere. The Berlin Fashion Week. What an interesting week on the internet.
For something different, I will start off with my most favourite link this week. New Kids on the Blog recently posted Vogue’s video portrait on Kris van Assche, creative director for Dior. If you have time to watch this short three minute video, you’ll be surprised about all the creative work involved in casting calls.
But, the most courageous blog post this week was Tavi’s attack on Seventeen Magazine’s article which implied that being fat necessarily meant the lack of beauty. No wonder editors hate bloggers. With over two hundred comments on her post, Tavi has a lot of sway. For a real discussion on weight loss issues, Retro Chick gives an interesting personal insight. Maybe Olivier Zahm should reconsider his comment on hating all bloggers.
Back to fashion and back to Berlin. Tribaspace gives a thorough recap on the international fashion week that took place recently. Which reminds me of just how fast time passes. After all, it’s nearly September. And for the fashion publishing world, this month only means one thing: The September Issue. Speculation on who will make it on the cover of GQ are already in discussion.
For now, to keep you entertained … Barbara Frankie Ryan has released the sixteenth issue of BFR Mag. Yay!
